From building epic bases to forging powerful weapons and armor, you need a ton of stuff. And let me tell you, Sulfur used to be such a pain to get. Before the big Sakurajima update, the only way was to trek out to specific spots and forage for it. It was time-consuming and honestly, a bit of a drag. But guess what? Things have changed for the better in 2026! Now, we can farm Sulfur right from the comfort of our own Base. No more tedious resource runs! This guide is everything I've learned about setting up my own Sulfur farming operation. Let's get into it!

So, the key to this whole new system is the Sulfur Mine facility. But you can't just build it right away. First, you gotta unlock it. Head to your Technology Menu. Look for the Sulfur Mine in the list—you'll need to spend some of those precious Ancient Technology Points to get the blueprint. A heads up: this is a late-game unlock. The game won't even let you see it until you hit player level 52. I know, it's a grind! If you're just starting out, focus on leveling up and exploring. This goal will give you something awesome to work towards.

Once you've hit level 52 and unlocked the recipe, it's crafting time! Open up your build menu and get ready to gather these materials:

Sulfur Mine Crafting Recipe:

• 70x Stone 🪨 (Easy to find!)

• 100x Sulfur 💛 (You'll need to do one last old-school forage run to build it, but it's totally worth it!)

• 30x Paldium Fragment 💎

Gather everything, select a nice spot in your Base, and place it down. Voilà! You now have your very own Sulfur Mine. The hardest part is over.

Now, the magic doesn't happen by itself. You need Pals to run it! Just having the mine built isn't enough. You need to assign Pals with the Mining work suitability to your base. For maximum efficiency, you might even want to manually assign them to the Sulfur Mine by picking them up and tossing them at it. Trust me, it makes a difference!

Not all Mining Pals are created equal. To get the most Sulfur flowing, you want the best workers. Here’s my personal tier list of the top Pals for this job in 2026:

S-Tier (The Absolute Best):

• Astegon 🐉 - A powerhouse. If you have one, assign it immediately.

• Blazamut / Blazamut Ryu 🔥 - Incredible strength and efficiency.

A-Tier (Fantastic Choices):

• Digtoise 🐢 - A classic choice for mining. Super reliable!

• Reptyro / Reptyro Cryst 🦎 - Solid all-rounders with great mining stats.

• Anubis ⚖️ - Not just a fighter, an excellent miner too!

B-Tier (Great for Support):

• Knocklem 💥 - Can be a bit chaotic but gets the job done.

• Xenogard 🐉 - A great option if you're still collecting the S-tiers.

• Menasting / Menasting Terra 🐜 - Solid backup miners for your operation.

My setup? I have an Astegon and a Blazamut Ryu permanently assigned to my Sulfur Mine, with a Digtoise as a backup. The resource flow is constant! No more worrying about running out of Sulfur for my ammo and high-tier crafts.

This change has been a total game-changer. Farming Sulfur used to be the worst chore, but now it's completely automated. It frees up so much time to actually enjoy the adventure parts of Palworld.
